Unlike reference books written on the Ending, the encyclopedia you see is scanty enough in material but nevertheless features: * All the basic chess ending types (pawn, rook, queen, bishop and knight piece, multi-piece) revealing typical ideas, tactical and strategic methods. Multi-piece endings are of major interest since their being scarcely inspected in chess literature * Over 3000 ending examples taken out of the world's best chessplayer games * All the World Champions' studies, for correct understanding of most endings gets impossible without mastering them * Vast material for teaching chess in groups as well as individually.

This extremely helpful book should be used to learn typical opening mistakes & tactical ideas. Highlights of this books are 4000 (!) games - all less than 13 moves. Every game has a diagram - so no chess board needed when studying. Also, it is often amusing to see the same game having 10-15 pairs of players listed. Huge book - over 3lb. My favorite - 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nd2 dxe 4.Nxe4 Nbd7 5.Qe2 !?! Ngf6 6.Nd6#. I myself, won quite a few games like this on ICC. You will like this book! See my review.
